Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. — William James
How is your day going today? Are you having a good day? Not so great day? Are you living today, and every day, to the fullest, and to the best of your abilities?
Have you asked yourself these questions recently? Maybe you have, or maybe you haven’t.
We all have bad days, it’s natural. Some days we feel like the next superhero, and other days we feel like we are glued to our beds. Regardless, we all fall somewhere on the spectrum. We all have our differences, yet we all have something in common. We are living one short and precious life.
Life is so valuable, and we never know when our time will come. I don’t know about you, but I want to make everyday count. In order to make every day better than the last, we need to prioritize and organize our days in such a way that aligns with our goals and values.
Some people imagine what their loved ones would say if they were to attend their own funeral today. Other people have had personal experiences that have given them a new perspective on life.
Design your life in such a way that you won’t look back and be full of regret. Figure out what is important in your life. Are you doing what’s important and meaningful or what’s easy and passive?
Living life to the fullest is a little different for everyone, and that’s okay. As long as you are happy with your life, that’s what matters. You don’t need to fit everyone else’s mold or have a plan that meets everyone’s expectations.
When we don’t have a guide map, it can be hard to know if we are going the right direction. It’s easier if someone gives us a checklist, or tells us what it looks like to live our life to the fullest.
I know this because I was there. It took me some time before I realized that there are plenty of helpful resources available, but we have to make the choices that will shape our lives. We can purchase as many personal development books, magazines, and seminars as we’d like, but if we don’t make the change, none of it will make the positive shift in our lives.
Clear your mind of the magazines, television shows, and other sources that are influencing your life. What do you want your life to look like? If you were living your life to the fullest, what would you be doing? What would fill your days? Who would you be spending your time with? What would your lifestyle be like?
When we ask the right questions, we can get our best answers. Having these answers can give us a sense of direction to get moving. Learn what you need to learn in order to get one foot in front of the other. Before you know it, you will be achieving success, one step at a time.2
